This project started with a basic outline of the keel, bulwarks and a few good pictures. I enjoyed this challenge as it meant working from a concept rather than line drawings. After spending many hours building, considerable time was required to tweak and tune the action. Smooth operation is critical to add a lifelike quality to this great model. The end result depends largely on how the radio control is set up. With four servos driving the oars, a fair bit of coordination is required.
